The 4:3 aspect ratio is the classic format used by most digital cameras, traditional TV, presentations, and many printed photographs. It provides a balanced, versatile composition that works well for both portrait and landscape subjects.
Many digital cameras capture images natively at 4:3 (Micro Four Thirds cameras, many compact cameras, and smartphones). This ratio is also standard for PowerPoint and Keynote presentations at 1024x768 or 1600x1200.
With ImgTools, upload your image, select the Crop tab, choose the 4:3 preset, and drag to select your area. The constrained ratio ensures a perfect 4:3 crop every time.
After cropping, resize to your target dimensions. Common 4:3 dimensions include 800x600, 1024x768, 1600x1200, and 2048x1536.
